The City of Calgary will be holding a public open house to provide information and gather input on the ARP amendment to date.  The open house will be at Sunnyside School on Wednesday, October 8, from 5-8 p.m.

The St. John's application was reviewed by the Calgary Planning Commission in July.  At City Council on September 8, Council voted to table the review of the application until the ARP amendment process is complete.  Work will continue on the amendment throughout the fall.

LOOKING FOR GOOD VALUE?  TRY THIS...Good Food Boxes are filled with fruits and vegetables.Three sizes are available - $15 (approx. 20 lbs), $20 (approx. 30 lbs), and $25 (approx. 40 lbs). To order, bring your *money* to the Community Centre by order deadline. We will also need your name and phone numbers to contact you. Boxes are available for pick-up on delivery date, usually after 1 p.m. For those with problems picking their box up, ask for delivery (within the Hillhurst-Sunnyside Community only).

In August, the $25. box contained 10 lbs. potatoes,8 corn on the cob, 4 bananas, 10 oranges, 9 apples, 2 grapefruit, 1 mango, 1 lime, 1 lrg. honey dew melon, 1 lrg. bag. green grapes, 6 med. onions, 5 lb.carrots, 3 beet, 4 stalks brocolli, 1 romaine lettuce.  If bought at the grocery store, all this would cost approx. $45.
